Papua New Guinea's Attorney General, Ano Pala, has gone to the Supreme Court in an attempt to restrain police from executing an arrest warrant against him.
The Post Courier reports that Mr Pala is accused of conspiring with others to defeat the course of justice in relation to the ongoing Paraka lawyers scandal.
In November, Mr Pala obtained stay orders at the National Court to temporarily stop the warrant, which were lifted in late August.
His lawyers then filed a motion to the Supreme Court to restrain the police from arresting him, which will hear arguments surrounding the application next week.
