Progress has been reported tonight in the employment row between junior doctors and district health boards.
Members of the Resident Doctors Association (RDA) today began their fourth 48-hour strike at public hospitals in a bitter feud over proposed changes to their employment contract, which lapses on Thursday.
Both sides also met in Auckland today for more mediated talks in a bid to resolve the row.
Talks ended this evening, with DHBs saying there's been some progress and the parties will meet again on Thursday for more talks.
The RDA could not be reached for comment tonight.
