Lee shoots up the leaderboard

The New Zealand golfer Danny Lee has shot up the leaderboard after the second round of the PGA event in Malaysia.

Lee started the day in 60th place, nine shots off the lead.

However he fired a second round seven under par 65, one of the best of the day, to move up to a tie for eighth.

He's six shots behind the leader, the American Pat Perez.

Meanwhile Lydia Ko has slipped to a tie for 25th after the second round of the latest LPGA event in South Korea.

The 20 year old world number nine had a second round one over par 73 and is now eight shots behind the leader Angel Yin of the United States.

And Ryan Fox has missed the cut at the Italian Open.
