Tomorrow in American Samoa is Mosquito Action Day, an initiative by the Department of Health to heighten awareness of the dangers posed by mosquitoes, which carry deadly diseases such as dengue fever, and zika.
American Samoa has had 25 suspected cases of dengue over the past month and 34 possible cases of zika in the same period.
Department of Health staff will be at booths at the Fagatogo marketplace throughout tomorrow morning to share information about the impact mosquitoes can have and how to counter them.
Later in the week the Department will run an exercise in ebola preparedness.
