There's been mixed results for New Zealand bowlers competing on the opening day of a Commonwealth Games warm up event in New Delhi.

Val Smith won both her matches in the women's singles, with 40 degree heat and dust and debris from a nearby Games construction site making conditions difficult.

Ali Forsyth lost both his games in the men's singles, while the women's pair also lost both their opening games.

The men's pair had a win and a loss.

In the triples, the men's and women's teams both won and lost a game .
