Bay of Plenty farmers are feeling more optimistic about the year ahead following another good fall of rain.
On Monday night, the region received a further 50 mm of rain, the fourth significant fall this year.
This time last year the region was heading into a drought that was regarded as a one in 30-year event.
Federated Farmers' Bay of Plenty president, John Scrimgeour, says regular rainfall this year has meant things are looking so much better.
