The Covid Card has not been trialled in the general population, despite the Minister of Health this morning telling RNZ a trial had begun.
The trial was due to start a month ago.
But the Ministry says the wider population trials were pushed back due to privacy and security concerns, and are now due to start next week.
Animation business owner, Ian Taylor, was involved in the early development of the Covid Card and spoke to Māni Dunlop.
