Jason Momoa announce his band will play an Auckland show

Hollywood hunk, Jason Momoa, has revealed to fans that he and his band, Oof Tatata will kick off a tour with a set in New Zealand.

The band, made up of the Aquaman star, Mike Hayes and Kenny Dale, will take the stage at intimate Auckland venue, The Tuning Fork, next to Spark Arena, on August 21, Momoa revealed to his 16.8M Instagram followers.

In the video, he said 220 tickets just went on sale, with capacity at the venue about 400.

"Right now I am in Auckland, Aotearoa with my friends ... Off Tatata is going to be playing a show, it's going to kick off our Meili Tour," Momoa said.

"Can't wait to show u what we've been playing let's celebrate with some @meilivodka," he captioned a video which revealed the performance on Tuesday. "All my aloha j [sic]."

Momoa was in New Zealand earlier this year with Jack Black, working on the Minecraft movie which he said was "truly one of the greatest times of my life".

"I love this country. AOTEAROA New Zealand you are magical. Mahalo for letting me film here," Momoa said when filming wrapped back in April.
