Government dithering has been blamed for the latest abysmal house affordability figures. The annual Demographia International Housing Affordability report shows that all of the country's major property markets are considered severely unaffordable. One of the reports co-authors, Hugh Pavletich, told Morning Report yesterday that Housing Minister Phil Twyford had been "dithering" and the government was failing to tackle housing needs. We usually speak to the Prime Minister on a Tuesday morning but she is in London so we're joined instead, in our Wellington studio, by Education Minister Chris Hipkins.
