A 40-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead and a baby injured at a Matamata property yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the house at 1pm yesterday and the baby was airlifted to hospital.
Police say the baby remains in a critical condition.
The man is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow.
