Mutiny by airline passengers

13:06 pm on 7 February 2011

Ryanair has been involved in a mutiny by more than 100 passengers on a plane that was due to fly from the Canary Islands to Belgium.

The passengers revolted when one of them was ordered to pay for oversized cabin baggage.

Scuffles broke out with crew members and Spanish police had to board the plane to remove the unruly passengers.

Ryanair says the majority of them were students.
