A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after falling into a sinkhole near the Whakarewarewa Village in Rotorua.

Local media are reporting an elderly woman from Australia suffered serious burns and her husband was also injured.
Rotorua Lakes Council has told RNZ part of a road over the geothermal field collapsed.
It happened shortly after 2pm near the entrance to the village.
St John Ambulance said it took two people to hospital, one critically hurt and the other with moderate injuries.
