A man is in critical condition at Auckland Hospital after police found him injured in Whangamarino.
Police say they found the man on Hampton Downs Road early on Monday morning.
They set up cordons on Hampton Downs Road between the landfill and Chris Amon Drive.
Police were working to find out how the man was injured, asking anyone with information to contact them citing reference number 241014/2225.
