Two schools and a kindergarten in Queenstown were briefly put on alert this afternoon while police sought a man on the loose with a weapon.
They said they were called to a domestic incident in Kawarau Place in Frankton about midday, after a report a 20-year-old man had left the property.
He was arrested within half an hour and was expected to appear in court on various charges.
