State Highway 60 was closed south of Central Tākaka Road - while contractors worked to clear the fallen power pole and electricity lines blocking both lanes.
Police said they responded to the single vehicle crash around 12.20pm.
St John said the vehicle's driver was able to take themself to hospital.
