Police have identified the vehicle used in the fatal shooting of a woman near Rotorua last month.
A homicide investigation was launched after police found Korrey Whyman, 28, with a gunshot wound outside a dairy in Mourea.
She was rushed to Waikato Hospital, where she later died.
In a statement today, detective inspector Lindsay Pilbrow said police recovered a two-door, dark blue Toyota Hilux believed to be linked to the death.
The car had links back to Rotoiti and someone in that community would likely know the identity of those involved, Pilbrow said.
"We are asking anyone who lives in the Rotoiti area and have seen this vehicle in their community, to come forward to police."
Forensic testing of the vehicle is under way.
Police had also found firearms, stolen property and drugs while carrying out search warrants in the Rotoiti area in relation to the homicide investigation.
Three people were arrested were made and will be facing a number charges.
