Kilauea eruption 'as long as Rotorua to Ruapehu'

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has destroyed 35 homes and caused the evacuation of 1700 people. Professor Bruce Houghton is a Professor of Volcanology at the University of Hawaii. He says it's a very long eruption - something like the distance between Rotorua and Ruapehu.
