The head of the Samoa Solidarity International Group, Nonu Ueni Fonoti, claims the prime minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, defamed him over his disability on national television.

The group has been highly critical of Tuilaepa's administration, and the group in turn is often ridiculed by the prime minister in his weekly addresses.

The police commissioner confirmed to the Samoa Observer that a complaint had been filed with the police.
