The New Zealand Davis Cup tennis tie with Pakistan will go the full distance after New Zealand's Rubin Statham scored a straight set win over Pakistan's Aisam Qureshi.
Statham was too good in all aspects of the match, winning 6-2 6-1 6-3 to take their Asia/Oceania Group two semifinal in Hawera into the fifth and final game.
The New Zealand captain Marcel Vos has decided to bring in Austen Childs in place of Michael Venus to make his debut for the last match against the Pakistan number two Aqeel Khan.
Whichever team wins will play either Thailand or Indonesia in the Group Two final in September.
