Police in American Samoa have seized more than 100 marijuana plants

Police in American Samoa have seized more than 100 marijuana plants during a raid of three separate plantations in the mountains of Amaluia village over the weekend.

Offices also took into custody a man in his mid 50's who is suspected to be the owner of the marijuana plantations.

Captain Vaa Sunia said that the plantation had been under police surveillance for some time.
