More than 1600 care packages were distributed to employees of American Samoa's StarKist Samoa and the can plant, Talofa Systems, at the weekend.
The plants have been shut down for maintenance and upgrades for nearly a month.
The "Love thy Neighbor," scheme was spearheaded by Tapumanaia Galu Satele Jr, with generous support from the business community and the public.
Tapumanaia said the support and the distribution of the care packages had been an overwhelming and emotional time for him.
He said "as many of the employees came up to me and hugged me with tears of gratitude in their eyes for this effort it was humbling and the most priceless reward of all".
