Guam has notched up its second consecutive year of a surge in visitor arrivals.
The Guam Visitors Bureau says overall arrivals for the 2014 fiscal year reached 1.34 million visitors.
These are the best figures for some time but the highest for the island was nearly 20 years ago, in 1996, when 1.4 million tourists arrived.
While Japanese tourists continue to make up the bulk of visitors, the increase is being put down to a new strategy to increase marketing of the island to China and South Korea.
