Occupy Auckland protestors are to split into groups to set up camp in various parks throughout the region.
However, some will stay in Aotea Square despite a court order issued on Wednesday afternoon to vacate the square, where they have been since 16 October.
One of the protestors said some small groups have taken it on themselves to autonomously go and occupy other spaces.
He says several have chosen to stay in Aotea Square.
Protestors who had not left the square by 2.30pm on Friday have been summonsed to appear in court next week to explain why they should not be jailed for contempt of court.
