PNG civil servants locked out

A group of public servants in the Papua New Guinea capital Port Moresby have been locked out of their offices since Tuesday.

The workers from the Health and Lands Departments have been shut out because the government has failed to pay outstanding rent.

The landlords, who cannot be reached, have posted a note on an outside wall directing inquiries to the Department of Treasury and Finance.
