The Italian motorcycling great Max Biaggi has announced his retirement from the sport.
41 year old Biaggi, a former world 250cc champion, went on to finish runner-up in both the 500c and MotoGP categories.
After his GP career ended in 2005, Biaggi turned to Superbikes, winning his first world title in 2010, and a second last month in France, by just half a point.
