A man has died and his 12-year-old daughter is in hospital following a house fire in Meremere, in northern Waikato.
The Fire Service was called to the property about 3am on Sunday, where they found the building well alight.
Two other people were pulled clear of the fire.
The injured girl is being treated at the Middlemore Hospital in South Auckland.
Investigators have been at the scene to try to establish how the fire started, however it is not believed to have been suspicious.
