Travellers arriving in Samoa on planned repatriation flights are being warned to comply with State of Emergency orders or face fines of up to $US700 which is equivalent to $WST2000.
Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi said any passengers intending to travel to Samoa need to complete 14 days of quarantine and have a covid-19 test done three days before departing.
Tuilaepa said upon arrival in Samoa they must undergo another 14 days of quarantine.
For emergency order breaches by organizations, corporations or similar such legal entities, a fine of $WST5,000 will be imposed for a first offence and $WST7000 for continuous offending.
Other new orders also include the permitting of all non-contact sports, so still no greenlight for rugby, soccer, boxing, wrestling, judo and taekwondo.
Street vendors have also been reminded not to sell goods on any roads or footpaths or on-road islands of Apia, beginning from Mulinuu to EFKS Church Apia, Taufusi including Ah Liki Market to Fugalei.
