Easter road toll rises to 3

One person has died at a crash in Rotorua this morning.

Police said the collision between a truck and a motorcycle happened at about 11.20 this morning at the corner of Edmund and Clayton roads in Rotorua.

One person died at the scene.

The death brings the Easter holiday road toll to three.

Yesterday, a crash on the Desert Road involving two cars and two truck and trailer units left a young child dead, and four other people in hospital.

Another person died in a crash at Tirohanga Road between between Tokoroa and Taupō in the Bay of Plenty.
