Lyttelton Port has settled a pay dispute with its logistics officers in a settlement port boss Peter Davie says he's happy with.
Lyttelton Port on Wednesday agreed to a 5.7 percent payrise, over two years, following strike action by 11 logistics officers which has been ongoing since last Friday.
Mr Davie, the Lyttelton Port's chief executive, said the company was happy with the outcome.
"The union have agreed to the proposal that we had put to them originally," he said.
"We haven't had any impact on our services, and we look forward to working with our staff to improve productivity."
A working group would discuss staff productivity and how the company services ships coming into the port.
Rail and Maritime Union organiser John Kerr said he believed both parties could claim a success.
"I think we worked hard. Things had got pretty tense but we managed to put those things to one side."
The pay rise needed to be signed off by those on the collective agreement.
