Australian media is reporting that four refugees from Nauru have been secretly transfered to Darwin after accepting offers to be resettled in Cambodia.
However, Cambodian officials, who have insisited on vetting refugees before approving their arrival, say they have not been told about the move.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports a source as saying the four refugees will be flown to Cambodia within two weeks.
The four people - an Iranian couple, an Iranian man and a Rohingyan man - are the only refugees on Nauru to have agreed to resettle in Cambodia under a controversial $30 million deal between Canberra and Phnom Penh.
The newspaper reports a spokesperson for Australia's immigration minister, Peter Dutton, as saying arrangements were ongoing and that there won't be any further comment.
