Fiji's Commerce Commission has announced its decision to quash the Fiji Electricity Authority's fuel surcharge application.
The Fiji Times Online reports effective seven days from Wednesday, FEA customers should expect a zero surcharge on their bills.
New Commission chairman Dr Mahendra Reddy said it would give ample time for the authority to work out its internal changes before the decisions come into effect.
He says the Commission had also decided to abolish the methodology of determining the fuel surcharge.
The FEA dropped its surcharge by 67 percent to F$1.82 per kilowatt hour effective January 29.
