The Football Ferns are into the final of the OFC Women's Olympic Qualifier after defeating Fiji 7-1 in the semifinals in Apia on Friday.
New Zealand opened the scoring in the sixth minute via a goal to Indiah-Paige Riley who doubled her tally just before half-time, Jacqui Hand scored twice in the half and a goal from a Grace Jale header gave New Zealand a dominant 5-0 lead at the break.
Fiji changed their goalkeeper just after half-time due to an injury, giving the replacement keeper Seruwaia Vasuitoga her first game of the tournament, but it didn't stop the flow of goals.
Jale scored her second goal in the 66th minute and scored her hat-trick in the 83rd minute - with all three goals coming from headers.
Fiji scored their goal in the 3rd minute of added time to Cema Nasu.
It was the first goal scored against New Zealand during this tournament.
The Football Ferns will meet the Solomon Islands in the final on Monday evening after the Solomon Islands won the other semi-final 2-0 over hosts Samoa.
The winner of the final secures a place at the Paris Olympics later this year.
New Zealand have represented Oceania four times at the Olympics since first qualifying in 2008.
