Vindicated?

Labour says United Future leader Peter Dunne has not been vindicated by a Privileges Committee report into the handing over of Parliamentary records to the David Henry inquiry.

The committee yesterday issued its report into the unauthorised release of information to the inquiry into the leak of a report on the Government Communications Security Bureau.

The inquiry was given communication records, in particular between Mr Dunne and the journalist who was leaked the report.

The committee said it is unacceptable the inquiry was so readily given that information.

Mr Dunne says the Privileges Committee report justifies his refusal to co-operate with an inquiry, but Labour disagrees.
