New Zealand skier Alice Robinson has tumbled out of contention during the Super-G final in Beijing.
The 20 year old was on pace with the leader's time midway down the course when she brushed a gate and took a heavy fall, sliding across the snow for over 100 metres.
After gingerly being helped to her feet, a disappointed Robinson slowly skied down the rest of the course on her own.
"I was going to be on the podium or be in the fence, I ended up in the fence," said Robinson in an interview after the race.
"I left it all out there."
The Queenstown-based athlete says she is unsure at this stage if she would compete in the upcoming downhill race, depending on how her body felt following the crash.
