The three new cases were identified through travel screening and have been moved into isolation.

There have now been 54 travel related cases of the coronavirus in the CNMI.

32 from the US mainland, 12 from Guam and 10 from foreign countries.

Meanwhile Governor Ralph Torres has expressed a desire to discuss the upcoming All Saints' and All Souls' Day commemorations with the local Catholic community.

Torres specifically wanted his Covid-19 Taskforce to hold talks with with Diocese of Chalan Kanoa Bishop Ryan Jimenez on possible safety protocols during the traditional public gatherings in cemeteries at the beginning of November.

The CNMI is a predominantly Catholic territory.
