A body has been recovered from Lake Taupō.
Police were called to the location near Wharewaka Point about 11.10am after a someone saw a body in the water a short distance offshore.
Local Iwi Tūwharetoa are placing a rāhui on the section of the lake.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
