French Polynesia's president Edouard Fritch has flown to Paris where he is due to meet the French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to a statement from Mr Macron's En Marche party, the talks will discuss the financing of the Elysee Accord which was signed by Mr Macron's predecessor Francois Hollande.
The accord is a new economic and social development co-operation agreement which acknowledges the legacy of the French nuclear weapons tests and ties the territory politically to France.
The meeting is also expected to look at economic and social issues in the lead-up to next year's election in French Polynesia.
