A body of a woman has been found in the water near Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf.

The police said the body was found floating in the water by a member of the public about 2km off Korakorahi Point early yesterday afternoon.
The woman was believed to be in her late 50s or early 60s and was wearing a blue, one-piece swimsuit.
She had a distinct tattoo on her left forearm.
The police were seeking public help in identifying her.
A post-mortem would take place, but at this stage police did not believe there were any suspicious circumstances relating to her death.
