Court in Samoa finds NZ man guilty of car theft

The Supreme Court in Samoa has found a New Zealand man, Grant Newman Holland, guilty of six counts of theft after he sold six rental vehicles.

Holland had told the court he was a preacher.

He was jointly charged with a woman, Vaioleti Stowers, who withdrew her not guilty plea two weeks ago.

Stowers is already serving a three year jail sentence on another conviction.

Both offenders will be sentenced on December 16th.
