Police have launched a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead at a property in Pukekohe yesterday.

Counties Manukau detective senior sergeant Craig Bolton said officers attended the property on McNally Road just after 9am to conduct a bail check.
They found a man with critical injuries, and later located the body of the woman.
Police are still completing formal identification procedures and a scene examination is ongoing.
The man remains in a critical condition at Middlemore Hospital.
