Hawke's Bay hold onto their three-point lead over Wellington at the top of the Championship standings.
Wellington led 15-7 at half-time, and were up 22-17 with time almost up before Robbie Fruean scored a try... Ihaia West's conversion went wide.
Both sides scored three tries each.
