A woman in Papua New Guinea was given 12 years jail this week for the murder of her husband's mistress.
The National newspaper reports the judge, Chief Justice Sir Gibbs Salika, saying husbands in such murder cases should also be held responsible for the crime.
37 year old mother-of-two, Aileen Guina, from Kivori village in Central Province pleaded guilty to the murder in Port Moresby in 2018.
She was sentenced to 12 years hard labour but nearly two years would be deducted for time already served in custody.
