A man accused of murdering a 30 year old at an Auckland brothel in March has appeared in the High Court.
Zion Gutnik was found dead at a brothel in Epsom on Manukau Road on 10 March.
A member of the public had called the police to the address, who then launched a homicide investigation.
Six weeks later, they arrested a 60-year-old man - known to Gutnik - and charged him with murder.
The accused appeared in the High Court at Auckland this morning, assisted by a Mandarin interpreter.
His lawyer Kelly-Ann Stoikoff told the court she was not in a position to enter a plea.
Justice Fitzgerald continued the man's name suppression and remanded the accused in custody to reappear next month.
