The New Zealand based World of Wearable Arts festival is to make its debut internationally.

A 70 minute show will be performed as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, next year.

Around 150,000 people attend the festival, which showcases over 200 performers.

The founder, and creative director of World of Wearable Art, Suzie Moncrieff, says they will present more than 100 garments from the historical wearable art collection, and dozens of dance and character costumes.

She says there will be a minimum of eight performances.
