The search for a man missing near the Waitaki river mouth is continuing on Wednesday.
Police were first alerted to reports of the fisherman who did not return from a day fishing trip on the Lower Waitaki River on Monday.
Surf Life Saving and LandSAR searched for him Tuesday and today's efforts will include a coastal search.
The river in the South Island is a large braided river that runs 209km long.
