Geraldine rally driver Hayden Paddon's sixth overall at the Rally of Great Britain, after a dramatic second day in Wales.
Paddon had a head-on collision with Martin Prokop after both took a wrong turn, and the New Zealander was lucky to be able to continue.
"We took a wrong turn after SS12 and went maybe 300 metres before we turned around," Paddon said. "On the way back we collided with Martin who had made the same mistake. These things happen. We're lucky that for us it's just cosmetic damage. Unfortunately for Martin, he had to park up."
The highlight of Paddon's day was a third fastest time on stage nine.
He said it was another "up and down day".
"When we haven't had any problems, I think there's been an improvement over yesterday which a positive to take forward. OK, we had the gearbox problems this morning which cost us again, and still struggling a bit with confidence and to really read to the conditions right, that's our biggest worry at the moment - simply trying to read the changeable grip. I'm not really adapting enough.
French Volkswagen star Sebastien Ogier leads British Citroen driver Kris Meeke in the rally's overall standings by almost 36 seconds.
