Auckland Council will today meet with a group taking the council to court over its plan to turn much of Queen Street in central Auckland into a pedestrian space. Barriers originally put in place for Covid-19 distancing have been kept there by the council to help make the street safer for pedestrians, which hasn't been welcomed by all. The Save Queen Street Society has taken legal action to try and put a stop to the plans, which it says will destroy Queen St for businesses ... and Aucklanders. Anna Thomas spoke with the Mayor of Auckland Phil Goff.
