Helen Clark speaks in support of Belarus demonstrations

For more than two months, we've been reporting on the mass demonstrations taking place in Belarus, following the re-election of President Alexander Lukashenko that many believe was rigged.

Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets, week after week, fed up with his authoritarian regime - eager for a revolution.

Protestors have clashed with heavy-handed police officers and the country's security forces; thousands have been detained.

Opposition leaders - who are predominantly women - have been arrested and forced into exile.

The former New Zealand Prime Minister and former head of the UN's development programme, Helen Clark, spoke to Max Towle.
