Crews will be back on the scene of a major pipe failure in Wellington on Thursday morning.
Wellington Water said last night it had repaired the damaged pipework that burst in the central city causing traffic chaos on Wednesday.
The water supply was shut down in neighbouring streets after the pipe burst on Kent Terrace early Wednesday morning.
Wellington Water said the area had been fenced off to make it safe overnight.
Anyone whose water supply was affected should run a cold tap for a few minutes to clear the pipes, they said.
