A woman has been arrested after a vehicle attempted to run over a member of the public, before ramming a police car in Auckland CBD today.

Inspector Peter Raynes said the police were called just after 8am following reports of a car being driven the wrong way on Quay Street near Princes Wharf.
Inspector Raynes said the same vehicle allegedly tried to run over a member of the public.
The police car was rammed when staff tried to get her out of the car, he said.
